August 25 through 29 is Safe At Home Week. Many times, unintentional injuries that occur in and around the home can be avoided with the proper preventative steps. According to The State of Home Safety in America Report, home-related injuries result in nearly 20,000 deaths and 21 million medical visits on average each year. Your advertisers have the products and services to hazard-proof homes.

Ad/Promotion Ideas:
  • According to the State of Home Safety in America Report, the most common type of home injury is falls. Find businesses that sell products that could help eradicate this hazard such as window locks, baby gates, handrails/banisters, etc., and help them advertise their products.
  • As per the safety report, many homeowners know of potential dangers in their home, but still do nothing to prevent them. This week is a crucial time for businesses to get the word out about dangers in and around homes and increase product sales. Encourage businesses to develop a week-long ad series featuring a product or service and the specific hazard it eliminates.
  • Seek out businesses or organizations hosting safety-related programs or events during the week of August 25-29 and help them promote it.
