July is Make a Difference to Children Month. Renowned child psychologist Dr. Haim Ginott once said, “Children are like wet cement. Whatever falls on them makes an impression.” The aim of Make a Difference to Children Month is to recognize the positive changes adults can make in a child’s life. Use this month-long event to show how your community is helping in these efforts.

• Create a sponsored ad series with tips on activities to do with children to create a positive influence.

  1. Last fall our small newspaper published "Protecting Our Children," a tabloid with stories and tips about helping children avoid drug use, abduction, smoking, internet dangers, etc. We sold advertising to local agencies police and sheriff, Red Cross, and also to businesses Hospitals, day care centers, drug counselors, etc. We did very well, and plan to do the same project this fall.
