Do-It-Yourself in June

June is Entrepreneurs Do-It-Yourself Marketing Month. Small businesses “have generated 60 to 80 percent of net new jobs annually over the last decade, and represent 99.7 percent of all employer firms,” according to the Small Business Association (SBA). Host a free seminar/workshop on do-it-yourself marketing to show your appreciation for entrepreneurs and small business owners and help them understand how your publications can work into their marketing budget.

Other Ad Ideas:
• Find out if area colleges or community centers have any small business education courses that begin in June. If so, work with them to develop an ad series promoting such courses.

• Look for businesses with products or services that may help entrepreneurs get their marketing off the ground (e-mail, service providers, Web hosting, printers, etc.). Create a signature page to feature such products or services.
